Morceaux choisis :
1UP: In terms of the gameplay, does Super Swing Golf respond to the power of your stroke? Like, if you swing super hard, will that hit the ball equally as hard? Or is there a cap in how strong your swing can be?
KK: Once you reach a certain speed or power, beyond that it doesn’t make a whole lot of difference. But it does make a big difference if you go slower than you should: Then your ball won’t fly as high. Now, like in real golf, if you get the right tempo — not too fast, not too slow — you’ll get the best result. But the problem with going too fast is that you’ll lose control. What’s important is that at the bottom of the swing, your controller [needs to be] straight, and not twisting or turning, like in real golf. If you turn your wrist one way or another, you can hook or slice. So, you’ll risk a mis-shot if you go too fast and don’t concentrate on keeping your hand position correct.

1UP: How do you target which area of the ball you want to hit when teeing off?
KK: On the lower-left corner of the screen you’ll see a little ball. You point the controller there and click on it and the ball increases in size. When it does that you can select which part of the ball you want to hit, so you can do backspin, topspin, and sidespin both ways.
1UP: Going back to velocity for a second, when you’re in those situations where you need to putt, a light touch will also be necessary, won’t it?
KK: With the putter, the more important thing is how far back to take your swing. You don’t want to pull it back as far as, say, a tee-off. That’s what’s going to determine the quality of your putt.
