Ventes JP 2014 : Top 100 pour l'ensemble de l'année [Famitsu]

Sur l'ensemble de l'année, le marché japonais a connu une nouvelle baisse en 2014 : en effet, les ventes totales ont perdu 9%, et jeux + consoles sont concernés. Niveau software, la baisse est de 12,7% par rapport à 2013, tandis que niveau hardware, les ventes ont chuté de 6,5%.

Software

Niveau Software, la domination de Nintendo (et surtout de la 3DS) est bien visible : les consoles de la firme de Kyoto s'accaparent les 13 premières places du classement. La Nintendo 3DS est bien évidemment la grande gagnante, même si la Wii U s'en sort plutôt bien avec deux jeux dans le Top 10.

Dans le reste du classement, on retrouve plusieurs jeux Wii U (New Super Mario Bros. U, Wii Party U), mais ils ne sont pas très nombreux. Et surtout, il s'agit principalement de titres édités par Nintendo (comme Captain Toad : Treasure Tracker ou Donkey Kong Country : Tropical Freeze), les éditeurs-tiers n'étant pas vraiment actifs sur cette plateforme.

Hardware

Niveau Hardware, la Nintendo 3DS a largement dominé les ventes : elle représente à elle seule environ 50% du marché ! Malheureusement, tout n'est pas rose pour Nintendo : la Wii U a été à la traîne, puisqu'elle n'atteint même pas le million lors de sa deuxième année sur le marché... et 2015 ne devrait pas être bien meilleur.

Éditeurs

Au niveau des éditeurs, Nintendo est numéro 1 cette année avec pas moins de 8 millions de jeux écoulés. Level-5 n'est pas bien loin avec plus de 6 millions de jeux vendus… et avec seulement quatre titres (Youkai Watch + les trois versions de Youkai Watch 2) ! La compagnie fait donc bien mieux que Bandai Namco, qui a certes vendu 4,8 millions de jeux, mais avec une moyenne par titre largement inférieure à celle de la franchise Youkai Watch.
